Obituary

Benjamin D. Ortega was unexpectedly called Home into the arms of our Lord on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the young age of 46. Benjamin was born on February 25, 1976 in San Antonio, Texas to Gloria R. Ortega. Benjamin is survived by his wife of 25 years Lisa A. Ortega; son, Rein B. Ortega, daughter Malia A. Ortega, son Chase A. Ortega, daughter Laila R. Ortega, and his mother, Gloria R. Ortega, as well as a grandfather and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ben loved to spend time with family, watching reality TV, barbecuing or lending family, friends, or neighbors a helping hand. However, he loved family vacations and car dates with his wife the most. Our hearts are broken that you have left us, but our memories of you will live on through our children and our love for you.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 3:30pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm. Family and friends will depart from Castillo Funeral Home at 9:30am on Friday, December 23, 2022 for a 10:00am Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Services to conclude after Mass.
