Betty Gil Lopez joined the Lord peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 11, 2025, at the age of 60 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, on August 3, 1964. Betty graduated from Edgewood High School in 1982. Betty married her High School sweetheart Eduardo E. Lopez on July 15, 1983. She loved deeply. In their 41 years of marriage together, they raised three wonderful sons. Betty furthered her education and received her license as a CNA in 1997. She spent over 28 years as a respected NurseAid. She was well known for her dedication and care for her clients. Betty had a big heart, and her radiant smile would brighten up a room. She enjoyed watching her Novelas and
eating Cracker Jack popcorn. She enjoyed playing card games and her Loteria scratch-off tickets.
Betty is preceded in death by her Father Apolonio R. Gil, Brother's Saul Gil, and Raul Gil, Sister Diana Linda Gil Sanchez. Grandson Elias Lopez.
Betty is survived by her husband Eduardo E. Lopez, her Mother, Carolina D. Gil. and her son's, AnthonyE. Lopez (Remi), Eduardo Jr. Lopez (Sonia), and Andrew C. Lopez (Rachel). Grandchildren Destiny, Anthony Jr, Draven, Evan, Andrew Jr, Ibis, Drew, Cali. Her greatest joy was her family and grandchildren. She was their biggest supporter-always present at every celebration, game, graduation, and milestone. Betty is survived by her Living Siblings Sister's, Beatrice Gil Arriola, Alice Gil, Norma Gil, Carrie G. She will be missed by numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Betty was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, and Aunt. Betty lived a life full of love and kindness, and her caring nature was unmatched. Her joyful spirit and the warmth she shared with everyone she met. She truly lived life to the fullest and left a legacy of love, kindness, and encouragement that will live on in all who knew her. Her life was a gift, her memory a blessing; she is deeply loved and will be forever missed.
