Gonzales
August 21, 1944 – March 25, 2022
Brijido T. Gonzales (Ben), born on August 21, 1944, was called home to be with our Lord on March 25, 2022 at the age of 77.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesusita Trevino and Bernabe Gonzales; Brothers: Richard Gonzales, (Brother in-law) John R Gonzalez; Nephew: John R Gonzalez Jr (Johnny boy).
Ben is loved and will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years: Lucy Gonzales; brother: David Gonzales, sisters: Stella Gonzalez, Beatrice Gonzales, Susie Gonzales and (Sister in-law) Norma Gonzales; His children: Brijido Gonzales (BJ), Matthew Gonzales and Angelica Gonzales; grandchildren: Brijido Gonzales (Benny), Brayden Gonzales, Jude Gonzales, Mercer Chanthavong, Addison Gonzales and Lucille Gonzales. As well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Ben was a proud United States Army Vietnam Veteran serving from 1966-1971, where he received the Medal of Good Conduct and the National Defense Service Medal. When he got out of the Army he worked for Kelly Air Force Base as an electrical repairman where he worked on airplane landing gear. He worked on base until his retirement.
Ben was a good man with simple taste. He inspired everyone around him to work hard and dream big. He had a big heart, which you could see through his warm smile. He was the type of man who would help anyone in need and always put his family first. He loved family get togethers, BBQing, taking care of his plants, drawing and fixing anything he could get his hands on.
Our memories are all that we have left of him and we will hold them dear to our hearts forever. Words cannot express the feelings of grief and gratitude in our hearts. Thank you for your prayers and support during this difficult time. Your shared memories, comforting condolences and gestures of love are truly appreciated.
