Obituary

Bruno Ochoa Mendoza, 71, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully

on June 12, 2026. Born on December 15, 1954, in San Antonio, Bruno

lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service.

He was predeceased in death by his parents, Amparo and Bartolo

Mendoza; his son, Fabian E. Mendoza; his sisters, Rosalinda Vasquez and

Alicia Mendoza.

A proud graduate of South San High School, Bruno went on to serve his

country with honor. He enlisted in the United States Army from 1973 to

1975 and continued his commitment to service through the Army Reserves

and Civil Service at Tinker AFB until his retirement in 2011.

Bruno was a devoted husband to Maria Mendoza and a loving father to his

daughters Selena M. Beverage (John) and Gabriela Mendoza. He

cherished his role as a grandfather to John III, Fabian, Micaela, Angela,

and Santiago. He also loved his numerous nieces, nephews, and extended

family members.

Bruno’s kindness and generosity were evident to all who knew him. A

dedicated Brother-In-Christ, he found great fulfillment in fellowship with

friends of Christ and sharing moments of connection with those around

him. His faith was not only a guiding light for himself but also an inspiration

for others.

In addition to his deep spiritual devotion, Bruno will be remembered for the

warmth he brought into every gathering. He always left a lasting footprint

wherever he went and with whomever he spoke with. Whether surrounded

by family or friends from church, he created an atmosphere of love and

unity that will be deeply missed.
