Candelario Balderas entered eternal rest on May 5, 2024, at the blessed age of 80 years old. Candelario was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 4, 1943, to the late Jose and Jesusa Balderas. He is reunited in Heaven with his parents, siblings Esther, Rosa, Dolores, and Elias; Daughters Maria Guadalupe Alegria and Diana Balderas; and son Michael Balderas. Candelario will be dearly missed by his loving Wife of 56 years Antonia Balderas; children Candelario Balderas, Jr. (Maria), Jose Eleno Balderas (Letty), Juan Balderas (Yanet), Jose Candelario Balderas (Sara), Robert Balderas (Amy), Maria Balderas Garcia (Roland), Rosemary Reyes, Janie Rodriguez, Lucy Wolf, Gloria Martinez (Manuel), Sylvia Rodriguez, Juan Lopez, and Margie Guerrero; 53 grandchildren; 120 great-grandchildren; 14 great great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation to take place on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. Family and friends will celebrate Candelario's life with a funeral service at 9:30 a.m. at the Castillo Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 with burial to follow at Wildflower Cemetery.
