A Celebration of Her Life

Carmelita Rivera Espinosa, 59 years old, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on August 18th, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy defined by her fierce strength, deep compassion, and a delightfully quirky spirit that kept everyone smiling. To know Carmelita was to know someone completely original. She possessed a rare and beautiful combination of traits: she was the person you turned to when you needed a rock to lean on, yet she was also the one who reminded us all not to take life too seriously. Her strength carried her family through life's challenges, while her immense compassion meant her heart and home were always open to anyone in need. She truly lived on her own terms and brought a vibrant color to the lives of everyone around her. She is survived by her "Full House" - two kings and three queens - her beloved children; Mandy Espinosa, Valerie Ramos, Jerry Ray Espinoza, Melissa Espinoza, and Tommy Espinosa; and her grandchildren: Brian Martin, Innonce Ramos, Jiraiya Ramos, Patrick Espinosa, Preston Espinosa, Jerry Ray Espinoza Jr., Serenity Sanchez, Lillian Contreras, & Jessie Filippone.

A celebration of her beautifully unique life will be held on Thursday, August 27th, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Castillo Funeral Home located at 520 N. General McMullen Dr., San Antonio, TX 78228.
