Obituary

Carmelo DeLeon, a beloved father, son, brother and uncle, passed away at the age of 34 on January 7, 2021. He was born to Carmen and the late Juanita DeLeon in San Antonio, Texas. Carmelo leaves behind his son, Carmelo DeLeon Jr.; sisters, Janie Ann (Anthony Celestino) and Melissa DeLeon; brother, Antonio (Lisa Salas); his niece, Kimberly (Ignacio Trevino), Cyndi (Gilbert Perez), Selena ( Jarod Hahn); nephews, Mike (Virginia Perez), Antonio Salas Jr.; great-nephews, Mike Jr., Marcus Perez, Gilbert Jr. and Zeke Perez; great nieces, Kaelynn "Lola" Perez and Ariana Trevino; aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved uncle/best friend, Jerry (hemo) Salas. Carmelo loved spending time with his son CJ his family and friends. He especially loved listening to rock music while enjoying a nice cold bud ice. He was a man with a big heart and even bigger sense of humor. Carmelo was the life of the party everywhere he went. "Kornmelo", as all his close friends called him, will draw strength from all the memories he left them, and our family will rejoice knowing he lived life exactly how he wanted. Carmelo had a unique relationship with EVERY single person he knew whether it be friend or family and he loved us all in his own special way.
So even though the "GoonSquad" is now minus one, your memory will live on!
