In Loving Memory of Cecilia Rosas Castellanos

December 18, 1939 – June 8, 2025

Cecilia Rosas Castellanos passed away peacefully at the blessed age of 85 on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Born on December 18, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas, Cecilia lived a life full of love, dedication, and grace.

From a young age, she embraced hard work, starting her career in a bakery and later at a nursing home. Her love for sewing led her to become a skilled seamstress at Fine Silver and the Miller Curtain Company. On July 11, 1960, she married the love of her life, Guillermo Castellanos, and together they built a beautiful life filled with faith, family, and tradition. Cecilia was especially known for her remarkable cooking—her tamales, lovingly prepared during the holiday seasons, became cherished family traditions. Her kitchen was always a place of warmth and togetherness. She is now joyfully reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Guillermo, her parents Miguel and Margarita Rosas, and her brother Miguel Rosas Jr.

Cecilia's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her five children: Guillermo Castellanos Jr. (Amelia), Cecilia Gomez, Alfred Castellanos (Tesla), Jacob Castellanos, and Francis Montoya (Abraham); her five grandchildren: Anna Alicia Guajardo (Michael), Abraham Montoya II (Patricia), Jacob Nikolas Castellanos, Fabiana Cecilia Avalos (Daniel), and Alexander Montoya; and her four great-grandchildren: Mia Guajardo, Madison Guajardo, Mateo Montoya, and Martin Montoya. She also leaves behind numerous extended family members and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Castillo Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM. Family and friends will gather for a funeral procession on Monday, June 23, 2025, departing at 8:15 AM for a 9:00 AM Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.

Cecilia's legacy of love, strength, and devotion will never be forgotten. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
