Our loving Matriarch, Celia Lopez, was called to Heaven on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the blessed age of 90. Celia was born on May 28, 1934, to the late Aurelio and Alfonsa Lopez in San Marcos, Texas.

Celia was a devoted Wife, Mother, Sister, and Grandmother. She loved her family dearly and always made sure they were taken care of.

She is reunited in Heaven with her parents Aurelio and Alfonsa, her son Ruben Lopez; great-grandson Zane Gabriel; sister Rachel Enrique; and brothers Ismael "Smiley" Lopez and Abram Lopez. Celia is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Gilbert M. Lopez; her son Steve Lopez, daughter Irma Lopez, son Gilbert Lopez, Jr. with wife Veronica Lopez; 9 grandchildren; Jessica, Steven, Leslie, Brian, Sabrina, Nicholas & Natalie, Gavin & Mason. Great-grandchildren; Lauren, Noah, Alyssa, Samantha, Aidan, Olivia & Mia. Siblings Orie Taylor, Lucy Montemayor, Daniel Lopez, Roger Lopez, and Sylvia Lopez; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. Family and friends will depart from Castillo Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
