Charles Lozano Martinez, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, loyal friend and neighbor, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on September 9, 1951, Charles was known for his kindness, wisdom, and sense of humor. His generosity and playful spirit touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting legacy. Charles retired from Southwestern Bell (AT&T) after 34 years of devoted service and union member. He enjoyed his retirement by going fishing, watching sports, and spending time with his family. He looked forward to spending time with his family more than anything.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Charles B. & Rosa L. Martinez; sister Marie Alma Lopez, and nephew Jose Luis Hernandez. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Maria Martinez; his two children, JoAnn Carvajal and Cory Martinez; grandchildren Samantha Perales and Jeremiah Perales; brother Raul Martinez (Rosario); sisters Becky Brown, Bebe Hernandez, Nancy M. Rodriguez (Rudy), Terry M. Tamez, Anita M. Martinez (Dan), Christine M. Ruiz (Rick), and Ernestine M. Ovalle (Ernest); 29 nieces and nephews; along with extended family and numerous friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation to take place at Castillo Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. Family and friends will depart in procession at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
