Obituary

Charles Ramos, 72, passed away on November 20, 2025. He was born on April 11, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas, where he was raised and where he proudly built his life. Charles, known to most as Charlie, lived a life marked by service, generosity, and an unforgettable sense of humor.

Charlie was a United States Air Force veteran who served during the Vietnam Era as an aircraft mechanic—an experience that shaped his lifelong commitment to service and hard work. After his military career, he began working as a car mechanic before discovering his true passion in the world of information technology. He spent many years supporting the military through government contracts, continuing his dedication to those in uniform. After a long and meaningful career, he retired.

A man of many hobbies, Charlie especially loved fishing, finding peace and joy by the water. Of all the roles he held, his most treasured was being a grandpa. Generous to a fault, he was the kind of man who always had a story to share and a joke ready to make others laugh—right up to the very end.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Angelita Ramos, and his sister, Rosalinda Gonzalez. He is survived by his twin brother, Domingo Ramos Jr.; his children, Evonne Marquez, Gilbert and Emily Ramos, and Veronica Ramos; his grandchildren, Justin, Brian, Marissa, Emily, Kylie, and Sophia; and his great-grandchildren, Grayson and Ellie.

Services will be held on December 2, with a viewing beginning at 4 p.m. and a Rosary at 6 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.

Charlie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him
