Chriselda E. Saenz was accepted into the loving arms of Our Lord Jesus Christ on December 13, 2021. She dedicated her life to providing love to her husband, David Sr.; and her 3 children, David Jr., Christopher and Clarissa.

Chriselda was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 18, 1966, to Peter and Margarita Esquivel. She married the love of her life in January of 1991 in Las Vegas. They spent 31 wonderful years together. She gave birth to her first born, David, in 1992, followed by Christopher in 1994, and Clarissa in 1996. They relocated in 1999 to Rockford, Illinois, for 14 years. During that time in Rockford, she and her family had traveled to see many landmarks, like The Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, Niagara Falls, New York, Washington DC, the Mall of the Americas and Las Vegas. In 2014, the family decided to move back to San Antonio. Our time in San Antonio has not been long, but very memorable. Chriselda and her family also had recently visited Disney World and Universal Studios. Outside of traveling, some of Chriselda's other favorite hobbies were spending time with her family, visiting Galveston beach, and shopping at Ross. Chriselda was a beautiful, loyal and loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. Her favorite words were short and sweet: "Family Unity."  She believed that so much that she sold her home and bought another home a few minutes from her son. She has a few pets that love her and that she loved in return, but there was one in particular that she had a special bond with. Blink is our most recent dog that would not leave her side. They were inseparable. He has cried for her so much since she left the house in September. Blink knows that he'll be able to play with his mama again.

Chriselda is preceded in death by her father, Peter Esquivel.

Chriselda is loved and will forever be missed by her husband, David Saenz; daughter, Clarissa Saenz (Jorge); her sons, David Saenz (Chelsea) and Christopher Saenz (Andrea); mother, Margarita Esquivel; brother, Peter Esquivel (Tina); sister, Rose Portales (Pete); and many other family and friends.

We know that Chriselda is singing, dancing, jumping, laughing and drinking coffee with Jesus and can't wait to see her loving family again with open arms.

The family will receive friends at Castillo Funeral Home from 3:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021. A Prayer Service will take place at 6 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Family & Friends will gather at Westover Hills Church, 9340 Westover Hills Blvd, San Antonio, Texas, 78251, at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, with the Funeral Service beginning at 10 a.m. A Funeral Procession will depart immediately after the service to San Fernando Cemetery II, where she will be laid to rest.
