Christian Eduardo Jaimes, 17, was called home to heaven on Saturday evening January 22, 2023, in New Braunfels, Texas. He was born April 2, 2005, in San Antonio, Tx. son of Hector Zagal Jaimes and the late Nancy Perez Olvera Gonzalez.

Christian was born with autism which attempted to limit and define him. Instead, he overcame all his limitations. He lived his life spreading endless amounts of joy, love, and affection to everyone who had the privilege of meeting him. Christian taught us to love greater, to be kind and considerate to everyone and to look at the world with wide eyes full of wonder and excitement. He became a role model for other kids at the IDEA School at Walzem. He enjoyed tablet time, and his favorite videos include the likes of SpongeBob Square Pants, Scooby Doo and Loud House. Christian's happiness was infectious, and he spread cheer everywhere he went. He reflected the face of Jesus in all that he did and wore that warmth, love, and affection on his sleeve. He truly was an angel in our midst.

In addition to his mother Nancy Olvera Gonzalez; two siblings, Diego Fernando Perez Olvera and Zia Giulietta Perez Olvera; and stepfather Albertin Olvera Gonzalez, who also passed away together on Jan. 22, 2023, he was also preceded in death by a paternal grandfather, Fernando A. Perez.

Family members include his father, Hector Zagal Jaimes; two brothers, Hector Daniel Jaimes and Adrian Jonathon Jaimes; a sister, Mia Isabella Olvera Gonzalez; maternal grandmother, Gloria Canizales Perez; in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 12 pm to 5 pm at Castillo Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will be conducted at 2 pm. All services conclude following Saturday's visitation.

Christian nació con autismo que intentó limitarlo y definirlo. En cambio, superó todas sus limitaciones. Vivió su vida repartiendo infinitas cantidades de alegría, amor y cariño a todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo. Christian nos enseñó a amar más, a ser amables y considerados con todos ya mirar el mundo con los ojos muy abiertos, llenos de asombro y emoción. Se convirtió en un modelo a seguir para otros niños en la Escuela IDEA en Walzem. Disfrutó del tiempo con las tabletas y sus videos favoritos incluyen los de SpongeBob Square Pants, Scooby Doo y Loud House. La felicidad de Christian era contagiosa y difundía alegría dondequiera que iba. Reflejaba el rostro de Jesús en todo lo que hacía y llevaba esa calidez, amor y afecto en la manga. Él verdaderamente fue un ángel en medio de nosotros.

Además de su madre Nancy Olvera González; dos hermanos, Diego Fernando Pérez Olvera y Zia Giulietta Pérez Olvera; y padrastro Albertin Olvera Gonzalez, quienes también fallecieron juntos el 22 de enero de 2023, también le precedieron en la muerte un abuelo paterno, Fernando A. Pérez.

Los miembros de la familia incluyen a su padre, Héctor Zagal Jaimes; dos hermanos, Héctor Daniel Jaimes y Adrián Jonathon Jaimes; una hermana, Mía Isabella Olvera González; abuela materna, Gloria Canizales Pérez; además de numerosas tías, tíos y familia extendida.

La familia recibirá invitados el sábado 4 de febrero de 2023 de 12:00 a 17:00 horas en Funeraria Castillo. Un servicio de capilla se llevará a cabo a las 2 pm. Todos los servicios concluyen después de la visita del sábado.
