It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Christinia R. Tims on September 4, 2026. Born on June 12, 1958, in El Paso, Texas, Christinia lived a life brimming with love, dedication, and service. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend whose memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her.
Christinia was the devoted wife of the late Homer Lee Tims Sr., with whom she shared a beautiful marriage beginning on June 6, 1980. Together they built a family filled with love and laughter, raising three wonderful children: Homer Lee Tims Jr., Clyde Robert Tims, and Jennifer Elizabeth Tims. Her children were her pride and joy, and her legacy continues through her three treasured grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness.
A proud veteran, Christinia served her country with honor in the United States Army, dedicating 25 years of her life to military service and achieving the respected rank of Sergeant. Her commitment to her country was matched only by her commitment to her family, and she approached both roles with unwavering dedication and strength.
Known for her vibrant personality and generous spirit, Christinia had a heart that extended to all those around her. She loved fiercely and completely, particularly when it came to her family and friends. Her kindness, warmth, and infectious enthusiasm for life touched everyone she met.
Christinia was also a passionate moviegoer. She delighted in the magic of the cinema, often enjoying solitary trips to the theater but finding the greatest joy in sharing those experiences with her family. Her love for movies was just one of the many ways she embraced life’s simple pleasures.
A memorial service honoring Christinia’s remarkable life will be held on September 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Castillo Funeral Home, located at 520 N McMullen Dr, San Antonio, TX 78228. Family and friends are welcome to join us in celebrating her life and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Christinia's memory.
Christinia R. Tims will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her life was a testament to love, strength, and generosity, and her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. May she rest in peace.
