Consuelo M. Antu was called into the Lord's arms on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the age of 74. Consuelo was born in Blanchard, Michigan on August 8,1949, to Hermenegildo and Maria Medina. Consuelo was adventurous, thoughtful and had the purest golden heart. She always shared her fond memories growing up as a migrant family, harvesting fruits and vegetables in the farmlands of Michigan. Her family moved and settled in San Antonio, she worked with her parents who owned and operated a General Store and dance hall in San Antonio's westside. Consuelo often shared her memories of enjoying and dancing to the music of the band that her brother's preformed in. This is where Consuelo met the love of her life Ramon, whom she married and together over the next 35 years they built a beautiful family. Consuelo enjoyed Fishing, riding amusement park rides, traveling and crafting. She also enjoyed her telenovelas reruns and cheering on the Spurs and Cowboys. Consuelo was gifted when it came to gardening and would tend to her plants daily, she enjoyed watching her plants grow and thrive. Above all, Consuelo loved to spend time with her family. She will be remembered for always saying and/or texting "Te Quero" to her loved ones. Consuelo is reunited in Heaven with her parents Hermenegildo and Maria Medina; Husband Ramon J. Antu Jr., Siblings Estella Medina Garcia, Agustin Medina, Roberto Medina, and Irene Maria Medina. She is survived by her daughters Jacqueline S. Leach (Jovan) and Amy Antu Arcos (Emilio); Son Ramon Antu III (Melissa); 6 grandsons Jovan Leach Jr., Emilio Arcos Jr., Joshua Arcos, Raymon Arcos, Rayden Antu and Rhys Antu; her siblings Juan Medina, Gloria Marroquin, Jesus Medina, Francisco Medina, and Guadalupe Medina; along with numerous extended family and friends. Visitation to take place at Castillo Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 4:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. Family and friends will depart from Castillo Funeral Home at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024, for an 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, ETA 10:15 a.m.
