Cristina "Bambi" Sanchez born on November 18, 1988 in San Antonio, TX and passed away on December 25, 2023. Cristina graduated Edison high school in 2007.  She loved to be around her family and made sure that everyone was taken care of. She was a kindhearted soul that would take care of anyone who needed it. Cristina spent most of her adult life taking care of her mother, Cynthia Garcia, when she got sick. Cristina was her caretaker up until Cynthia's death in 2021. While being her caretaker she was also a PCA at the Methodist Hospital. In 2020, Cristina married Armando and gained additional family. She would talk about her new family with the same proudness as her own.

Cristina has 3 children and 3 stepchildren. Her children were the apple of her eye and she was proud of all their accomplishments. Anytime one of the kids had an event for school or sports you would always find her wearing their team shirt rooting for them. Cristina volunteered with the St. Gregory CYO and was there every weekend for many years. Cristina always found a way to be at not only her kids games but also her nieces and nephews. She was there to support all of them as if they were her own. Cristina gave everything she had to make sure her children were happy and knew she was there for them. If there was a time that someone needed something she was the first one who would jump in to help.

Cristina is preceded in death by her mother, Cynthia Garcia and brother, Charles "Charlie" Garcia.  Cristina's survived by her husband - Armando Rodriguez Sanchez, Daughter - Alexa Candia(17) , Son - Isaac Armando Sanchez(13), Daughter – Amanda Sanchez (5), Step son – Brandon Sanchez, Step Son – Joel Sanchez (spouse Berenice Sanchez) , Step son – Michael Sanchez, Step Grandson – Gael Sanchez and 2 grand puppies.  She is also survived by her Father - Jaime Garcia III,  Sister - Denise Whelchel (Spouse Samuel Rocha), Sister - Desiree Garcia (Spouse Richard Garcia Jr.), and Brother - Jaime Garcia IV (Spouse Lisa Garcia), Father and mother in law - Leopoldo and Alicia Candia as well as many nephews and nieces.

Cristina will be missed by so many. Viewing will be at Castillo Funeral Home January 9,2024 from 4-8pm. Rosary to begin at 6pm.  Mass will be January 10,2024 at St. Gregory the Great at 10am followed by burial at St. Fernando 3 where she will be laid to rest with her mother and brother.
