Cynthia Janete
Beza
May 16, 1976 – September 21, 2022
Cynthia Janete Beza was born May 16, 1976, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Hector Manuel Beza, Sr. and Maria del Socorro Flores de Beza. Cynthia was the first-born child and represented God's blessing and promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:2 and 22:17, whereby God promised, "I will surely bless you, and I will multiply your descendants like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore."
Cynthia lived in Eagle Pass, Texas, until February 1979, when her parents decided to move the family to San Antonio, Texas, which at that point included a younger brother, Hector Jr. Several months later, Cynthia's little sister, Kimberly, was born. Cynthia attended Las Palmas Elementary for kindergarten, and then attended Cleto L. Rodriguez Elementary for grades first through fifth. While attending Fidel L. Tafolla Middle School, she was part of the multilingual program and studied Japanese. Cynthia attended Sidney Lanier High School, where she studied Russian and was part of the National Honor Society, graduating with Honors in May 1994. During High School, Cynthia was also part of the Upward Bound Pre-college program at St. Mary's University, as well as a dedicated member of the San Juan de Los Lagos Catholic Church English Choir. Throughout her adolescent years, Cynthia became a business entrepreneur, as she learned the elements of operating a business through working in the family businesses, which included a barbacoa establishment, a grocery store with meat market, and a restaurant.
With help and guidance from Judy Camargo, Cynthia began college at St. Mary's University the summer of 1994, then transferred to the University of Texas-San Antonio. Cynthia had an indomitable will, that led her to accomplish all that she set her mind to do. Although Cynthia was resolute in her determination to achieve her goals and overcome obstacles, she was truly a servant spirit, which was exemplified in her dedication to God, Church community, and others. Cynthia began working at a very young age, and through her work, Cynthia's love for serving others was also transmitted. Regardless of the job, she executed her work with excellence and kindness. Through the course of her life, Cynthia worked for the Harcourt Educational Measurement Corporation where she graded exams for the Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Alabama State Boards of Education. Cynthia also worked for the at the Tower of the Americas, H.E.B. Grocery Company, and at Mi Tierra Café for a few years. She was a Kindergarten CCD teacher, and served as Director of Youth Ministry for a year at San Juan de los Lagos Parish and Shrine. Thereafter, she found the job she loved and in which she truly thrived. She worked for H&R Block for over 16 years, where she was a Senior Tax Analyst. Cynthia graduated from the Pastoral Formation Institute at the Oblate School of Theology, and from Northwest Vista College with a degree in Pharmacy Technician. At the time of her passing, Cynthia was a member of the Spanish Choir at the San Juan de los Lagos Parish and Shrine.
The night before she passed, Cynthia asked her husband to take her to chapel at the health facility in which she was a patient. That same evening, she also prayed the Angelito de Mi Guardia Prayer with her mom, Maria del Socorro, while on the phone. We will never know the words Cynthia spoke to God during her last night on this Earth, but we are certain that God heard her prayers---Cynthia made peace with our merciful Lord on the evening of September 20, 2022, and the next morning He called her home into His loving arms. Upon her arrival to Heaven, Cynthia was received into God's loving arms, and welcomed by her father Hector M. Beza, Sr., maternal grandparents Alvaro Flores Castro and Paulita Lara, paternal grandparents Pedro Beza and Gregoria Beza, Uncle Manuel Alvaro Flores Lara, Uncle Pete Beza, Aunt and Uncle Oralia and Michael Grimes, Uncle Mando Hernandez, and many other loved family members and friends. Cynthia is survived by her husband, Ronald Ray Rodriguez, mother Maria del Socorro Flores de Beza, sister Kimberly G. Beza, brother Hector M. Beza, Jr. (wife Anita), nephew Darian Carranco-Beza, and niece, Alana Carranco-Beza.
Cynthia Is loved. Cynthia is cherished. She brought tremendous joy to her family and to countless others. She was an amazing wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many, and she will be greatly missed. We return with love what love has given. We thank God for the 46 years of life that He gave her, and of which we were blessed to be a part. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16). Through this promise that God has made, we know that we will be reunited with Cynthia again, in Heaven.
