Cynthia "Cindy" J Garcia passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 11, 2024 at the age of 46. She was born on August 18, 1978 and was a life-long resident of San Antonio.
Cindy graduated from John F Kennedy High School. She earned a degree in Graphic Design from San Antonio College and was employed by Valero Energy Corporation for 25 years. She was a loving mother, a devoted wife and had a great faith in God. Cindy had a heart of gold. She will always be remembered for her warmth, selfless caring nature, generosity and always willing to make time to help where she could. You could always count on Cindy's creativity to personalize items or gifts for special events. Cindy lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family, friends and her beloved dogs Lulu and Tipsee.
Cindy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 16 years, Alex; children Sergio Javier and Alejandro Bruno; parents Everardo and Maria del Carmen Flores, sister Sofia Flores (Adrian Hernandez), brothers Angel (June) Flores, Edgar (Dora) Flores; in-laws Joe and Gloria Garcia, brother-in-law Anthony (Raquel) Garcia, Andrew (Martha) Garcia and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and along with many friends who will sadly miss her.
Cindy was preceded in death by her grandparents Epifanio and Margarita Quintanilla, Edmundo Flores Estrada and Sofia Zapata de Flores; uncles Jose Quintanilla, Javier Quintanilla, Carlos Quintanilla, Juan Quintanilla, and Epifanio (Eppy) Quintanilla.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4th at Castillo Funeral Home, 520 N General McMullen Dr, San Antonio, Tx 78228 between 4:00 and 8:00 pm. A rosary will begin at 6:00 pm.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5th at 10:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 9883 Marbach Rd, San Antonio, Tx 78245.
The rite of committal and burial will be held at San Fernando Cemetery III on 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the entire staff at Baylor St. Luke's Hospital in Houston for all their support and care of Cindy.
