Obituary

Cynthia Ann Castro Salas passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023 at the age of 59.  She was born in Goliad, Tx and she leaves behind her Father and Mother, Joe and Romana Castro.  Her Husband, Joe Salas AKA Chicharron, Her Daughter, Veronica AKA Black Beauty (Alex aka Fat Pig), Her son, Ramon AKA Bebe (Gina aka Flaca).  Her Sister Corina aka Chimmy, Her Brother Paul (Carol), her Brother Joe aka Del (Cindy) and her Sister Dolores aka Pino (David aka Blackie). She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cyndi was known for her infectious smile, red lips and HUGE assets.  She loved her beer but loved her grandbabies even more.  There was one thing in life that she wanted the most and that was to be a "Nini," not a grandma because she didn't want to feel old.  Her first grandbaby, Jaylin came along and she was nicknamed Queenie.  Then came Derek aka King, then Liam aka Prince, then Alexa (whom she is preceded in death by) then Hailey aka Badonka donk and finally MiaBella aka Piggy.  She gained four grandsons, Francisco, Jimbo, Nathanel and Sebastian.

She had a nickname for everyone!

She wasn't the life of the party, Cyndi WAS the party.  Everyone wanted to be her friend. She would walk into any room and it would light up so bright.

You could catch her almost every weekend at Pica Pica, Traders Village or in the evenings at the Bingo hall.  If she wasn't there, then you would catch her at her Son or Daughters house enjoying family time.  And if she wasn't there, then she'd be playing cards on a Saturday night at the Flores'. She thought she was a millionaire buying lotto tickets daily.  And not the $1-$5 ones.  She would buy the $20+ ones.  Her motto was, "Go big or go home."

Cyndi also loved being a school bus driver.  She loved her coworkers and her Boss, Mr. Balderama and most of all, her Ride or Die, Cynthia Barton, whom was more of a sister to Cyndi.  She had to have her blinged out work shirts and blinged out baseball caps.

She will be greatly missed by her dysfunctional family that she was extremely proud of. We are definitely blessed to have an amazing Angel watching over us.
