Daniel Lopez Sr. age 85 entered into eternal rest Thursday August 19, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas.

His service in the Air Force took him to many countries including Japan, Morocco, and Guam to name a few.  His last tour of service as a Staff Sergeant was in Spokane, Washington.  Daniel proudly served his country for 6 years in the Air Force.  He was a military policeman and dog handler.  Daniel and Estella made their home in San Antonio after his service, where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years.  In retirement, Daniel's hobbies included woodwork, gardening and was an avid pool player.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Leandro Lopez Sr, Tomasa Lopez and his sister Raquel Narvaez.

He is survived by his loving wife Estella Pineda Lopez of 64 years; son Daniel Lopez Jr. and wife Christine, son David Lopez, daughter Sonia Lopez and fiancé Ben Ramos, grandniece Stormy Chagnon.  Sisters and brother; Lydia and John Sellers, Leandro and Olga Lopez, Esther and Carlos Gaytan and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 3:30 pm to 7:30, with a prayer service at 6:00 pm at Castillo Mission Funeral Home.  Chapel service will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 9 am. Interment Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:30 am.
