Daniel T.
Jimenez
July 24, 1950 – October 12, 2024
Daniel T. Jimenez was called into the Lord's arms on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the age of 74 years. Daniel was born on July 24, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas, to Gregorio P. and Elvira Trevino Ximenez. Daniel was intelligent, funny, and had a kind heart. As a young man Daniel was a Commander for the Royal Rangers,an activity-based, small-group church ministry for boys and young men in grades K-12. The Royal Rangers mission was to evangelize, equip and empower the next generation of Christlike men. Daniel attended the Sinai Assembly of God, where he met the love of his life, Maria. Together they built a strong foundation to raise their growing family. His faith led him to be not only a great husband and father, but also a devoted son-in-law. In 1995 his father-in-law needed longterm care, and Daniel proudly took on the role of caregiver until his passing. He was a jack of all trades, but especially loved woodworking. He also loved to grow tomatoes and hot peppers. After battling meningitis in 2013, Daniel's mobility started to decline, but he still loved to spend time with his family and held strong in his faith. Daniel didn't have to wait too long before he earned a new title, proud grandpa! He loved his 3 grandchildren immensely and loved to spend as much time with them as possible. Daniel will be remembered for his humor, his love for God, and his dedication to his family. He is reunited in Heaven with his parents Gregorio and Elvira; brothers Esequiel T. Jimenez, Trinidad T. Ximenez and Jesse T. Jimenez. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Maria Luisa Jimenez; his daughter Michelle M. Jimenez; his son Ezekiel D. Jimenez (Sabrina D. Salazar); grandchildren Gideon J. Jimenez, Delilah I. Jimenez, and Solomon G. Jimenez; his sister Maria Luisa Galloway; along with numerous extended family and friends. Visitation to take place on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to begin at 6:00 p.m. Family and friends will depart at 9:30 a.m. in procession for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service at Wildflower Cemetery.
