David Sotelo Chavarria, born on September 13, 1959, was called home to be with our Lord on Monday, December 20, 2021 at the age of 62.

He is preceded in death by his son, Arthur Lee Chavarria; parents, David Chavarria and Josefina Sotelo.

Mr. Chavarria is loved and will be greatly missed by his children, Sabrina Lopez (Ray Lopez), Savanna Chavarria and Bernabe Chavarria; Mother of his children Denise Carrasco; grandchildren, Isaac, Jesse, Gustavo, Ray, Jay, Zoey, Zayden, Juliet, Ivan, Drayden and Danica; siblings, Arturo Chavarria, Maria Ignacia Chavarria and Rolando Chavarria; canine companion, Coco; as well as numerous loving relatives and friends.

David was born in Mexico then soon after came to the states. He grew up with his two brothers and his sister. David was very close with his siblings and they made many memories together. David moved to Michigan where he raised a family of his own. He was a hardworking man who always made sure that his family had what he didn't have as a child. David loved taking his children to carnivals and events around the city. As he got older he became a diesel mechanic. He soon started his own company helping other truck drivers. He loved helping other people in any little way that he could.

David was a wonderful loving person with a heart of gold. His love will remain in our hearts for all eternity. Davids relationship with God was one of the strongest. David was a child of God. His love for God was known and everyone who he came in contact with knew because he would preach the word of God. David also had a love for music. His favorite thing to do was play his guitar and when he played he played with his entire heart and soul. David spent his last months surrounded by the ones he loved. Although he was in pain he embraced every moment he spent with his family. David is at peace now and with God. He will be missed by so many but his memory will continue to live on through his loved ones and he will never be forgotten.
