Obituary

In Loving Memory of

David Lynn Hunt

September 24, 1969 – September 24, 2026

David Lynn Hunt, age 57, passed away on September 24, 2026, on his 57th birthday. David was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend whose life was defined by his love for God, his family, and his country.

David was married to the love of his life, Angela Hunt, for nearly 30 years. Their life together was a testament to the love and commitment they shared. He was a devoted husband and a proud father to Edward Flores, Andrew Flores, and Raul Flores and his wife, Amanda. His greatest blessings included his four grandchildren, Raul Jr. (RJ), Melissa, Maribel, and Amori, who brought so much love and joy into his life.

David had a personality that was impossible to forget. He was, without a doubt, one of the funniest people you could ever meet, with a sense of humor that could brighten even the hardest days. He had a special gift for making people laugh, and wherever he went, he brought joy and laughter with him. David never met a stranger. He welcomed everyone with an open heart and made people feel as though they belonged. His kindness knew no bounds, and he was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He loved deeply, gave freely, and touched more lives than he may have ever realized.

Above all, David loved God and his family. His faith was an important part of his life, and the love he shared with those around him will continue to live on through the memories, laughter, and countless acts of kindness he leaves behind. Though his family and friends must now face the pain of his absence, they can find comfort in their faith and in the promise of God's eternal love.

David was preceded in death by his father, QR Hunt; his maternal grandmother, Frances Boyle; his paternal grandmother, Lucille Hunt; both of his grandfathers; and his beloved father-in-law, Mr. C.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Angela Hunt; his sons, Edward Flores, Andrew Flores, and Raul Flores and daughter-in-law, Amanda; his cherished grandchildren, Raul Jr. (RJ), Melissa, Maribel, and Amora; his mother and stepfather, Ken and Glenda Brown; his brother, Jessie Hunt and sister-in-law, Jennifer; his sister, Kerry Cowart; and several nieces and nephews, along with many other family members and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we take comfort in knowing that David's love, laughter, and legacy will never be forgotten. The world is a little quieter without his laughter, and the lives he touched will never be quite the same. We will carry his memory in our hearts, cherish the moments we shared, and be grateful for the blessing of having known and loved him.

Until we meet again, may you rest in the loving arms of our Lord. You will forever be loved, forever be missed, and forever be in our hearts.
