David A. Quintero Sr., also known as David Joe Quintero Sr., passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday February 8, 2023, surrounded by his family. He went to be with the Lord at age 75. He was born in San Antonio Texas on January 24, 1948, to Petra Arredondo and Jesse Quintero, Sr. David served in the United States Military Navy as an Aircraft Mechanic and Equal Opportunity Program Specialist for 15 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as an Usher at St. Leonard's Catholic Church. He was a Canary Island Descendant from 4 of the 15 families that founded San Antonio, TX. He was a family-oriented person, a man of faith, and a devout Catholic who lived the example of Christ, honored his word, and spread the unconditional love of God to his family and everyone that crossed his path. He was a big fan of the Lanier Voks, Dallas Cowboys, and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed teaching and playing chess with his children and grandchildren. David will be honored and greatly missed. His memory and testimonies of life will live on forever.
David is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is also preceded in death by his brother Rauol M. Quintero, and sister Olivia J. Juarez. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia G. Quintero, of 55 years. He is also survived by his brother Jesse Quintero Jr. (Edna). David is lovingly remembered and survived by his children; Anna M. Cruz (Edward), Shanay O. Quintero, David A. Quintero Jr. (Veronica), Jesse R. Quintero (Jessica), Patricia J. Perez (Hugo), Virginia Rosalie Quintero (Charlie Anthony), and Francisco Florencio "Fred" Quintero. David is lovingly remembered and survived by his grandchildren; Anica A. Cruz, Edward Cruz II, Julie Anne Rose Quintero, Jacob P. Stramoski Jr, Sabino Q. Stramoski, Vanessa M. Quintero, Davina M. Perez (Anthony), David Quintero lll, Ryan Carrillo, Kenneth Trinidad (Christina), Joshua Contreras, Vanessa C. Tello (Pete), Nicholas A. Quintero, Emma L. Quintero, Alejandra T. Perez, Hugo A. Perez ll, Elijah D. Perez, Joshua G. Perez, Alyson G. Perez, Jaelyn Anthony, Disaya M. Vargas, Milla B. Quintero, Fabiola T. Quintero, Aidyn Quintero, Virginia Kara Amor Quintero, and Florencio Liam Kal-el Quintero. He is also lovingly remembered and survived by his great-grandchildren; Jonathan Quintero, Matthew Quintero, Janessa M. Garcia, Joshio C. Martinez Jr, Josiah Tello, Elijah Tello, Luke Tello, Moses Tello, Julian Trinidad, Dominique Trinidad and by numerous nieces and nephews.
