With heavy hearts, David Contreras Salazar was called home on September 9, 2025, surrounded by all his loved ones. He was 43 years old, born in San Antonio, Texas on June 1, 1982.

David was a beloved Son, father, brother and friend. He had a kind soul; a warm smile and a very big heart. He always looked out for his loved ones, putting others before himself.

He attended Oliver Wendell Holmes High school. He loved cheering on his favorite teams the Washington redskins and the San Antonio Spurs.

He was a fan of UFC and boxing and made sure he did not miss a fight. He loved making plans with his kids, taking them to movies and going swimming, just spending as much time as he could with them. David also had many talents, such as Auto sounds install, window tinting and Taxidermy. Most importantly, he found his greatest joy in being a father.

He is survived by his parent's, mom Catarina Contreras Apodaca, stepdad Edward Apodaca, Father Eleno T. Salazar and stepmom Sandra Salazar. His two children, Aylah Belle Salazar and Ahziah Joseph Salazar, his brothers Alan, Kyle and Orlando, sister-in-law Cindy and stepsister Valerie. His nieces Aubrey, Ariella, Alexis and Megan. Nephews Aiden, Abram, Alex and J.J.

He was surrounded by a large, loving extended family with many aunts and uncles who each played a special part in his life, offering him warmth, wisdom and endless affection.

Welcoming him home at heaven's gate are grandparents Juanita R. and Jose Angel Contreras, along with Silveria T. Salazar and Antonio Salazar.

And finally, his close-knit circle of cousins who shared laughter, memories and an unbreakable bond.

David will be missed tremendously.
