Delfino B. Ramirez, 88, husband of Estella Ramirez, passed away June 21, 2024 at his residence in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on November 7, 1935, in Poth, Texas, a son of the late Jesus and Susana Ramirez.

Prior to his retirement Delfino was employed with Acoustical Ceiling for 32 years. His nickname 'Peewee' was lovingly given by his coworkers since he was usually the shortest person on the job site. Always happy playful and silly, he was willing to do whatever it took to make those around him smile and laugh. A well respected man who touched the lives of many by making them laugh.

He loved and enjoyed family and church gathering. He loved helping at his church, contributing to holiday and family gatherings; sharing a meal or a much anticipated routine trips to the dollar stores with his daughter Cristina. Delfino was an incredible father and a spectacular grandfather who loved good food, ice cream and play fighting with his grandchildren. He loved his little companion a dog named Cupcake. His greatest love was his wife Estella who together shared a rare and special bond.

Many simple pleasures in life will forever keep his memory alive because he enjoyed them. Remembering those times when he would sing the words to his favorite songs or how he lit up when receiving a goodie bags because he loved all the candy inside. His memory will live on by the special times we had.
In addition to his parents Jesus and Susana Ramirez, he is also preceded in death by the following family members, Samuel Ramirez, Raquel Hernandez, Rafael Ramirez, Jose Ramirez, Yolanda Ramirez Calderon, Ruth Ramirez and Albino Ramirez.

Family members include his wife of 70 years, Estella Ramirez; children, Albino Ramirez (Rosie Ramirez), Maria Cristina Silva (Arturo Silva Sr.), Raul Ramirez Sr. (Sally Ramirez), Yvonne Salazar (Ricardo Salazar) and Susanna Alvarado (Roland Alvarado); Grandchildren: Janell Perez, Rene Silva, Arturo Silva, Jr., Raul Ramirez, Jr., Fidel Ramirez, Adelina Ramirez, Gabriel Salazar, Gavina Salarza, Gadrian Salazar, Girien Salazar, Karina Raquel Alvarado; 23 great grandchildren; siblings, Argentina Martinez, Maria Ruth Gomez, Martha Talamantez, Susana Martinez and Rogelio Ramirez; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for the Chapel Service.
