Delia Davila Avila was born on January 3, 1946, to Maria and Alfredo Davila in San Antonio, Texas and entered into the presence of the Lord surrounded by her family on September 15, 2025. Delia was a very family oriented, loving and caring. Her joyful spirit and enthusiasm for life were contagious.  Delia's legacy as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother is perhaps what she cherished most. She raised five children, three of whom followed their father's footsteps into military service, embodying principles of honor and sacrifice. As a prior military spouse, she was able to travel and see and enjoy many places.

Delia is preceded in death by her son Hilario Alva, Jr. She is survived by her children, John (Alva), Albert (Alva) wife Telecia, Andrew (Alva), and Jessica (Tinajero) husband Marty. Also, fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. And sister Rosa Martinez.

Visitation will be Castillo Funeral Hom on September 26, 2025 from 3pm-4pm for family and 4:00pm - 8:00pm for all others.  Rosary will be 6pm-7pm.
