Delia Luna went to be with our Lord on May 29, 2022, at the age of 82.

Delia was born a few minutes before the new year on December 31, 1939, in Beeville Texas. She was the matriarch of the family who provided a nurturing environment for her family to flourish. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and gameshows. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, visiting friends and family having good conversation, she loved to talk. Delia and Jesse together shared a 65-year adventure and marriage together. She played an enormous role in the lives of her children and grandchildren who were the pride and joy of her life.

She inspired those around her to be better individuals. Her capacity for generosity knew no bounds. She was someone who would help anyone in need with support, encouragement, and guidance. Delia loved when family and friends got together. Those times exist in our memories and will be cherished forever. We loved her caring ways, she will be deeply missed, and her memory will live on.

She is preceded in death by her father, Vicente De la Garza, Stepmother, Jesusa De la Garza, and mother, Gregoria Cuellar.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Luna; children, Jesse Luna Jr. (Jamie), Diane Colvin (Donald), Robert Luna (Rahlene) and Jayne Luna; grandchildren, Tyffany Gonzalez, Spencer Luna, Brittney Gaston and Max Colvin; great-grandchildren, Donovan Gonzalez, Naomi Gonzalez, Gia Gonzalez, Rett Gaston; siblings, Sally Miller (Bobby), Estella Blachowski, Lupe Hemeida, and Belinda Trotter (Alton); in addition to numerous extended family and friends.

There are no words that can express the feelings in our hearts. Thank you for your prayers and support during this difficult time. Your shared memories, comforting condolences and gestures of love are truly appreciated.
