Obituary

Delia Montelongo was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be fondly remembered for her contagious smile, dimples, and fashionable nails. Delia entered eternal rest on January 13, 2020, at the age of 64.
She was born on October 30, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas. As a child Delia spent her days with her siblings playing dolls, outside making mud pies and the occasional road trip to Seguin to visit family.
In her adult life Delia's passion for fashion developed and she opened La Princesita Dress Shop on the southside of San Antonio. Delia was very talented in using her skills as a seamstress to create beautiful skirts, blouses, and dresses.
Another of Delia's passions was her family. She always had her husband Lalo, daughter Rachel, and son-in-law Mateo by her side to support her in all of her endeavors. She especially enjoyed family get togethers with her extended family. Those special times included her 4 sisters and 1 brother, and numerous nieces and nephews. She relished in the peace and tranquility of being reunited for holidays and birthdays, that always included lots of joking around, delicious food, and bonding time.
After ending her career as a seamstress, Delia developed another enjoyable past time. She would enjoy her time playing bingo, loteria, and trips to nearby casinos and as far as Las Vegas. This past time would give her the opportunity to meet up with friends and family to share in fellowship, food, and fun.
Although Delia's earthly time has ended, we know that she is in a better place without sickness or pain. We know she has gone to her final resting place in peace alongside her mother and other family members that preceded her in death. She will be dearly missed but the numerous memories made with her family and friends will live on for years to come.

She is reunited in Heaven with her Mother Raquel Salinas.

She will be deeply missed by her husband of 40 years Heladio Montelongo; Father Frank Salinas; Daughter Raquel Villarreal (Mateo); Brother Frank Salinas (Isabel); Sisters Theresa Devora (Jose), Diana Aguero (Ismael), Olga Mares (Marcos Fortuna), Estella Moran (Juan); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 5pm until 9pm  with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm. We will meet at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1114 Willow St. 78208, on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 10am for visitation. Mass will begin at 11am. Services to conclude after Mass.
