Delores S. Marmolejo, born in Gonzales, TX on October 17, 1930 went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2019 at the age of 89. To her family and friends she was known as "Nana". Delores dedicated her life to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as well as her family. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms, a big hug and kiss and no one left Nana's house on an empty stomach. She was always so hospitable, caring, and a wonderful blessing to so many. She loved being surrounded by her grandchildren (29), her great grandchildren (48) and her great great grandchildren (5). She truly had a servants heart, always wanting to help in any way she could. She was our prayer warrior, a shoulder to lean on and was always there to wipe our tears. In her spare time, she loved to play the piano and she started each day with her daily devotion and her scriptures. She always wanted to be at McCauley Baptist Church where she was a member since 1972. Her family will miss her sense of humor, her words of wisdom and her sweet presence.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years: Alfredo M. Marmolejo, Her two sons: Daniel J. Marmolejo and Alfred Dale Marmolejo.

She is survived by her children : Sylvia A. Canales and spouse Steven Canales, Albert A. Villanueva, Philip D. Villanueva, Michael A. Villanueva and spouse Vickie Villanueva, Elizabeth D. Yepez, Paul A. Marmolejo, and Carlos R. Marmolejo.
Her surviving siblings are: Lupe Gonzalez and spouse Armando Gonzalez, David J. Sanchez and spouse Refugia Sanchez, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
