Desiree Jessie Carrion, beloved mother, wife, daughter, and sister, was born on May 10th, 1997, and tragically passed away unexpectedly at the age of 27 on February 1st, 2025. Her sudden loss has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family.

Born in San Antonio, TX, Desiree was the daughter of Yvonne Vasquez and Jesus Carrion. She shared a special bond with her bonus dad, Hugo Salazar. Desiree graduated from Highlands High School, where she developed a deep love for music and playing her violin. After high school, she immediately entered the workforce, balancing her job with the roles of a devoted mother and wife. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, building legos and playing video games with her boys.

Desiree was a proud and devoted mother to her sons, John Paul and Ethan. She often said that their births transformed her life for the better, and their energetic, loving, and playful spirits were a constant source of joy and motivation.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jesus Carrion; her maternal grandparents, Joe and Guadalupe Vasquez; her paternal grandfather, Guadalupe Carrion; and her brother, John Paul Quintero. Desiree is survived by her husband, Jessie Cabello; her sons, John Paul Vasquez and Ethan Cabello; her mother, Yvonne Vasquez; her father, Hugo Salazar (wife Lucy); her sister, Vanessa Vasquez; and her brothers, Santiago Quintero (wife Samantha Lane) and Ronnie Quintero (wife Nicki Quintero). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish the love she brought to their lives.

A viewing will be held on February 17th, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Castillo Funeral Home, followed by a prayer service from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Final goodbyes will take place thereafter.
