Obituary

💎 Diamond Rae Campos Deleon (Precious Lamb in Fields of Lions), went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on March 03, 2022 at the age of 32. Diamond was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 20, 1989 to Benjamin Soto Deleon and Kristina Campos.
She grew up in the far west side of San Antonio and attended Taft and Stevens high schools.
At an early age she had a love for movies, music, and dance. She enjoyed comedies which were one of her favorites.  She would often quote comedies such as "Napoleon Dynamite," "Half Baked," and many others. She was very animated and theatrical.  As a child she often acted out movies such as "Aladdin," and "Lion King."  She loved to joke around and have fun, too. A few of the quotes she would always say were, "Ahh come on!" or "Wellll, Stuart!"  One of her first jobs was at Sea World where she was a cashier. She was ambitious and an achiever. When she wanted something she made sure she got it. She loved cooking, baking and took pride in making her Mexican rice. She had a kind spirit where children were captivated by her child-like ways and she built many relationships with them.
In her later years she liked binge watching shows on Netflix and Hulu. She had a pallet for good food, like eating at different restaurants whether it be Mexican, Indian, Filipino or Seafood. She enjoyed attending concerts. Her last few were Z-ro, Slim Thug, and Tool. And she especially loved being with her children Azalea and Benji.

Diamond was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, niece and cousin.  She had many friends, too.

She is preceded in death by her father Benjamin Soto Deleon, paternal grandmother Armandina Soto Diaz, maternal grandmother Maria de Jesus Cantu Campos, step-grandmother Betty Soto Campos, aunt Sharon Kay Campos-Mares lll, uncle Andres Soto Deleon and uncle Michial Cooke.

She is survived by her children daughter Azalea Avery Campos-Deleon, son Benji King Campos-Deleon, mother Kristina Campos; aunts Carla Jean Campos Cooke (Michial), Kathleen Campos Yoder (Richard), Karen Campos, and uncle Carlos Juan Campos (Leah); maternal grandfather Juan Manuel Campos, paternal grandfather Tony Deleon Sr.; cousins Gyselle Maree Longoria, Elyse Abril Cortinas, Richard "Trey" Yoder lll, Christian Campos Yoder, Aaron Germanio, Asher Campos, Anna Campos, Adam Campos, Alexa Campos, Ava Campos in addition to extended family and friends.
