Diana
Fonseca
January 4, 1963 – December 19, 2022
Diana Fonseca passed peacefully on December 19, 2022, surrounded by the warmth & love of her family by her side. She was 59 years old. Born on January 4, 1963, in San Antonio, TX. She is preceded in death by her nephew Julian Fonseca & is survived by her parents, Mr. Lazaro Fonseca & Ms. Mercedes M. Fonseca, her sisters Roxana Lozoya & Julia M. Fonseca-Flores & her spouse Marti Fonseca-Flores, along with her niece Rosalinda Guadarrama & spouse Mario Guadarrama Sr. & their two children Mario Guadarrama Jr & Matthew Guadarrama, along with nieces Raquel Rother, Rikki Renee Lozoya, Mercedes Margarite Fonseca & Isabel Juliet Fonseca as well as many cousins.
Diana was fiercely devoted to her family & friends & loved by all who knew her. Known to those closest to her as "Yaya" she was a devoted friend, caring neighbor, loving aunt, and a beloved sister & daughter. Always ready to lend a helping hand when needed. Diana was selfless in her giving, always making sure that those around her were remembered, cared for & had all that they needed. She was that neighbor that everyone loved to have long conversations with over the fence, the family member that livened up any family function & the supportive friend that was always there. Always ready with an ear to listen, shoulder to lean on & supportive advice to get you through any situation - "Yaya" was everybody's go-to person. She was the person that always said "I love you" at the end of every conversation, held your hand when you sat next to her to watch tv, made your favorite dish when you came to visit & the person that called just to make sure you were having a good day.
Diana graduated from Jefferson High School in 1981, went on to work at Kelly AFB & later finished her work career in the medical billing field. She was a lover of animals, traveling, gardening & doing her arts & crafts, creating many beautiful pieces for family & friends as gifts. Of all the things she loved to do Diana always said that being surrounded by her family is what she loved most.
She was the nucleus of her family, a true shining star that brightened everyone's day simply by being a part of it. Our hearts are broken that she has left us so soon, but we rejoice in knowing that Diana "Yaya" has earned her angel wings that she so richly deserved & memories of her will live on in everyone's hearts that knew her. She will be missed & as for today, and every day without her, the world is a little sadder for not having her in it.
