Diego Fernando Perez Olvera, 8, was called home to heaven on Saturday evening January 22, 2023, in New Braunfels, Texas. He was born May 16, 2014, in San Antonio, Tx. son of the late Nancy (Perez) and Albertin Olvera Gonzalez.

Diego with born with some type of power that had people gravitate towards him. A child who brightened every single person he came in contact with. To his dad Albertin, Diego was his light in a dark room, his first-born son who together could share a love for soccer. He attended IDEA school at Walzem and built strong friendships with the teachers and children there. He especially was interested in in all things prehistoric including dinosaurs, or the fantasies of characters like Godzilla. Diego enjoyed free time playing Roblox, spending time with his sisters Mia and Zia, and learning new things about the world in front of him. A loving son, brother, and friend who will be remembered always.

In addition to his parents Nancy, and Albertin; and siblings, Christian Eduardo Jaimes and Zia Giulietta Perez Olvera, who also passed away together on Jan. 22, 2023, he was also preceded in death by a paternal grandfather, Fernando A. Perez.

Family members include two brothers, Hector Daniel Jaimes and Adrian Jonathon Jaimes; a sister, Mia Isabella Olvera Gonzalez; maternal grandmother, Gloria Canizales Perez; paternal grandparents Faustino, and Aurea Olvera Gonzalez; in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 12 pm to 5 pm at Castillo Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will be conducted at 2 pm. All services conclude following Saturday's visitation.

Diego Fernando Pérez Olvera, de 8 años, fue llamado a casa en el cielo la noche del sábado 22 de enero de 2023 en New Braunfels, Texas. Nació el 16 de mayo de 2014 en San Antonio, Tx. hijo de la fallecida Nancy (Pérez) y Albertin Olvera González.

Diego nació con algún tipo de poder que hizo que la gente gravitara hacia él. Un niño que iluminó a cada persona con la que entró en contacto. Para su papá Albertin, Diego era su luz en un cuarto oscuro, su hijo primogénito que juntos podían compartir el amor por el fútbol. Asistió a la escuela IDEA en Walzem y construyó fuertes amistades con los maestros y los niños allí. Estaba especialmente interesado en todo lo prehistórico, incluidos los dinosaurios, o las fantasías de personajes como Godzilla. Diego disfrutó del tiempo libre jugando Roblox, pasando tiempo con sus hermanas Mia y Zia y aprendiendo cosas nuevas sobre el mundo que tenía delante. Además de sus padres Nancy y Albertin; y hermanos, Christian Eduardo Jaimes y Zia Giulietta Perez Olvera, quienes también fallecieron juntos el 22 de enero de 2023, también le precedieron en la muerte un abuelo paterno, Fernando A. Pérez.

Los miembros de la familia incluyen dos hermanos, Héctor Daniel Jaimes y Adrián Jonathon Jaimes; una hermana, Mía Isabella Olvera González; abuela materna, Gloria Canizales Pérez; los abuelos paternos Faustino y Aurea Olvera González; además de numerosas tías, tíos y familia extendida.

La familia recibirá invitados el sábado 4 de febrero de 2023 de 12:00 a 17:00 horas en Funeraria Castillo. Un servicio de capilla se llevará a cabo a las 2 pm. Todos los servicios concluyen después de la visita del sábado.
