Dolores Ramirez
De Sanchez
January 6, 1930 – August 9, 2021
Dolores Ramirez de Sanchez, born on January 6, 1930 in Puebla,
Mexico, passed away on August 9th, 2021 at the age of ninety-one.
Dolores Sanchez is survived by her children Elizabeth Melgoza, Pedro
Sanchez, Esther Layton, Lillia Camero, Gabriel Sanchez, Maria Elena
Carielo and Miriam Jaime. She also is survived by forty grandchildren and
sixty-nine great-grandchildren.
In 1953, Dolores Ramirez-Garcia married Pedro Sanchez-Valadez in
Puebla, Mexico. Together they resided in the city of Monterrey, Mexico,
where they happily began to raise their seven children. Dolores served her
family as a full-time mother who diligently cared for her children,
consistently sacrificing her needs for the good of her family and others. She
also was, however, an entrepreneur who owned a bike repair shop, sold
clothes, groceries and ran a local cab business.
Dolores and her husband came to know the Lord, through the
evangelism of a neighbor, and were baptized together into the Church of
God 7th Day. After the death of her husband, Dolores chose to leave her
homeland in order to finish raising her children in the United States.
As her children began their own families, Dolores took time to be
involved, as best she could, in the lives of her descendants and loved the
opportunity to watch them grow. In her free time she enjoyed cooking,
crocheting and sewing. She also enjoyed watching sports such as boxing,
soccer and baseball.
Dolores was a woman of integrity who shared her wisdom with
others. She worked hard and strived for excellence in all that she did.
Dolores was a woman that loved the Lord, planted the love of God into
generations of her family and served Him faithfully until her last day.
