Our beloved mother, Dolores Susie Gonzales was called home by her dear Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at 4:38 am. She was surrounded by the warmth and love of her family and passed peacefully at home. She is survived by her four daughters, who were the entirety of her world and their spouses, Berta (Birdy) and Roger Carrejo, Lolita (Nicky) Cox, Angelita (Angie) and Edward Celestino, and Angelica Gonzales. Susie is survived by her nine grandchildren who loved their grandma Spooky dearly and their spouses, Samantha Jo Carrejo and Michael Nava, Krisandra and Luis Hinojos, Sara Nicole Carrejo and Dakota Dominguez, Christopher Celestino and Bryanna Flores, Patrick Brody Carrejo and Dominic Guevara, Lita Carey and Steven Garcia, Savanah Rose and Daniel Cross, Erick Ruben Cox, and Kruz Cash Celestino. She is survived by her eight great grandchildren who she felt so blessed to have, Lorelei Jo Ramirez, Sophie Nicole Delgado, Dylan Daniel Delgado, Zoey Jane Celestino, Nicolas Joe Garcia, Remi Rae Dominguez, Joseph James Cross, and Yanellie Grace Celestino.
Susie dedicated her life to her love of God, family and flowers, she was a florist for over 50 years, a revered member of her church Communidad Cristiana Internacional, and a precious member of her family. Susie touched the lives of so many, especially those of her church family. With her strong faith in her Father in Heaven, she is now resting in peace with Him. Funeral services will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home (520 N. General McMullen, SA, TX 78228) Viewing and Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 4, 2021 from 3:30 to 6:00 pm. A prayer service will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. on Monday, July 5th a Chapel service will be held at 9:30 am, followed by a grave side service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers we are asking for plants or a donation be made to Communidada Cristiana Internacional (4035 Goosenbacher Rd, SA, TX 78245),mom's church.
