Obituary

Born on December 18, 1934, our beloved mother and matriarch, Dolores, lived a life defined by devotion to family, perseverance, and enduring love. She was one of four siblings, raised alongside two brothers and one sister, and she maintained close family bonds throughout her life. She is survived by her beloved brother, who shared in her early years and lifelong memories.
On January 30, 1954, she was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Eloy.  For 71 years they had a partnership marked by mutual respect, unwavering commitment, and deep affection. Their marriage stood as a remarkable example of steadfast love and shared purpose. He survives her, carrying forward the legacy of their life together.
She was the proud mother of six children, each of whom she cherished deeply: Kathy, married to Raymond, with three children, Annette, Brian and Cassandra; Mario, married to Olga, with four children, Andriana, Mario II, Celina, and Marcus; Armando, with one child, Melanie; Melina, married to Richard, with three children, Melina, Sergio, and Demetrio; Juanita, married to Eloy, with three children, Lissette, Gabriela, and Marissa; and Javier, married to Deborah, with one child, Damian. Her legacy extended across generations, and she took great joy in her family. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to the life she built and the love she shared.
From a young age, she demonstrated an extraordinary work ethic. At just 13 years old, she began working in her father's dry-cleaning business, where she learned the values of responsibility, diligence, and service. In time, she took over the family business and, as the owner, partnered with her husband to ensure its continued success. Known for her keen business sense, exceptional ability with mathematics, and skilled work as a seamstress providing expert alterations, she remained deeply committed to her work. She continued working well into her later years, retiring around 1997, and left behind a respected and lasting professional legacy built on dedication, integrity, and partnership.
Beyond her business accomplishments, she was the heart of her home. A talented cook and gifted seamstress, she lovingly sewed dresses, outfits, and dance costumes for her daughters, stitching care and devotion into every piece. She found joy in dancing and in bringing her family together, especially during cherished gatherings at Thanksgiving and Christmas, when her home was filled with laughter, warmth, and love. Through her many talents and the traditions she created, she left behind memories that will be treasured for generations.
Above all, she was a devoted and loving mother whose life centered on the well-being of her family. She was known for her generous spirit and her ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. She often expressed this sentiment through the words she shared so freely with her children and others:
"I love you, I love everybody."
Those words reflected the kindness, compassion, and boundless love that defined her life.
She leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and dedication that will endure through the generations she so lovingly nurtured. Though she will be deeply missed, her influence and example will remain forever present in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
