Obituary

On March 14. 1946, Antonio and Lucille Amaro welcomed their daughter, Dolores Amaro to this wonderful world. Dolores was blessed to have three sisters, Maria Antonia Amaro "Tonia" {now in heaven}, Geraldine Amaro "Gerry" and Guadalupe "Lupita" Amaro {went to heaven as a sweet new baby}. Also blessed with one baby brother, Juan Amaro who also went back home to the lord.

Dolores attended college and became a hard working woman at a young age. During this time she worked at a store named Centeno. Here at this grocery store is where she met the man that was to end up becoming her husband for the next 52 years, Manuel Rodrigues. They ended up having three children, Gabriel, Emmanuel "Mal" and Dolores Rodriguez "Angel".

Mrs. Dolores Rodriguez loved working at USAA. But her favorite thing in the world was to be a loving wife and amazing mother. She was a strong woman and very devoted to the Lord, our God. She passed down of God to her children and never lost faith even with her cancer diagnosis. She fought hard and long dealing with her stage four pancreatic cancer.

On the evening of July 17, 2024, Dolores Rodriguez was called back home to be with God. In no way did she lose her battle with cancer of four years, no she was called back home because she had been gone from home far too long and suffered too much. She was blessed to be home lying in her own bed surrounded by family and friends.

She will forever be missed and loved but always remembered as a kind and loving woman with that beautiful smile and contagious laughter.
