In loving memory of Dolores Salinas Torres.
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dolores
Salinas Torres, 71, who entered the Kingdom of Paradise on July 28th, 2024. Dolores was born on
November 7th, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, to Cenovia Z. Salinas and Juan O. Salinas.
Dolores dedicated her life to teaching as a special education teacher, where she was known for her
kindness, big heart, and welcoming personality. She had a unique gift for connecting with children,
and her love for them extended beyond her classroom to everyone's children. Dolores' warmth and
compassion touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy of love and care.
Those who knew Dolores will remember her as a patient and creative soul. She found joy in sewing
and singing, hobbies that brought light to her life and those around her. Dolores was fun-loving and
generous, always going out of her way to care for her family and co-workers, spreading happiness
wherever she went.
She is survived by her husband Gilbert Torres, beloved children and grandchildren, Jessica Jane
Torres, Gilbert Frank Torres, and Sara D'Ann Torres, Gilbert D. Torres and Adam G. Torres. Dolores
also leaves behind her cherished sisters Cenovia Graham, Lucia Alacon, Ninfa Martinez, Rosalinda
Leal, Refugia Moran, Juanita Gonzalez, Gloria Luna, and brother Jose Pedro Salinas and extended
family, who will forever remember her love and dedication.
A visitation and rosary service will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on Thursday, August 15, 2024,
visitation begins at 4:00 pm and rosary at 6:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service on Friday, August
16, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. Dolores will be laid to rest at Mission
Park South Cemetery.
