Dominic "Dom" Gerald Monico II, 43, of San Antonio, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2024.
Dom was born into a military family on March 18, 1981 at Clark AFB in the Philippines. His father Gary Monico was serving in the US Military at the time. Due to his father's military service, Dom and his family traveled all over the world including the Philippines, Japan, and Scotland before initially setting in San Angelo, Texas, his hometown. He graduated and eventually moved to San Antonio, Texas where he met the love of his life Jennifer. They got married and enjoyed life. He worked and attained his Associates Degree in business and subsequently worked for USAA which he enjoyed thoroughly. Dom was an individual that was full of life, love, and happiness. Known as the jokester of the family and among his friends, he treated everyone like family and was always there for them, day or night. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished them deeply.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; daughters, Alayna, Alexa, and Lilly; his mother, Angelita Monico; and brother, Anthony Monico. Including numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that he'd consider family. Dom was preceded in death by his father, Gary Monico, and father-in-law, Alvino Perez.
Dom attended Central High School, and ACT University. He pursued a career at USAA while enjoying hobbies such as gaming, video streaming, cookouts, fishing, and traveling.
Memorial services for Dom will be held at 1:00 p.m. on April 20, 2024, at Castillo Funeral Home in San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and the National Kidney Foundation.
