Dora +
Felix Camargo
October 21, 2023 – October 29, 2023
The most beautiful love story of heaven gaining two angels, wife Dora Herrera Camargo, went to be with the Lord at the age of 91 on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Eight days later Sunday, October 29, 2023, husband Felix Camargo Jr. reunites in heaven with her at the age of 89. Felix and Dora both entered eternal rest at their long-time residence in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on May 2, 1932, in Martindale, Texas, a daughter of the late Dolores and Delfino Herrera. He was born on July 3, 1934, in San Antonio, Texas, a son of the late Trinidad and Felix Camargo.
Dora and Felix accomplished much in life and lived a life guided by love and faith.
As wife, Dora was loving and protective, always valuing the needs of her husband above her own. Felix was respectful to his wife and made sure she was taken care of from the day they met until the last in this world. As a mother, Dora was the best any child could ask for, always present and actively involved. As a father, Felix taught his daughters to not take their talents for granted and to be comfortable with who they are. As a grandmother and grandfather, they were playful and supportive, always going the extra mile to bring a smile to our faces.
Both Felix and Dora were known for their dedication to each other, their family and selfless heart. Both lives were an example of goodness and faith, and lived a life dedicated to the Lord. Losing not one but two loved ones so close to each other in time seems incomprehensible, but the Lord knows what he's doing, they are a testament to true and unconditional love. Ladies before gentleman is the classy and timeless type of manor not common nowadays and it was the right way to end. Two people who will never know what life is like to be on Earth or in heaven without each other. Both will be missed, remembered, and as Dora welcomed Felix into heaven, both will watch over those they leave behind until everyone is welcomed and reunited once again.
In addition to Dora's parents, Dolores and Delfino Herrera, and Felix's parents, Trinidad and Felix Camargo, they are also preceded in death by a son, Michael Anthony Camargo.
Family Members include three daughters, Sandy (Glenn) Sirianni Laskowski, Denise (Genaro) Bocanegra, and Yvonne (David) Limon; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and additional extended family and friends.
The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Thursday November 2, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm for visitation and a Rosary Service at 6:00 pm.
A funeral mass will be conducted on Friday November 3, 2023, at 10:00 am in St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will follow with a graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery III.
