In Loving Memory of Dora Jimenez-Zamora
January 3, 1939 – October 3, 2026
Dora Jimenez-Zamora was born on January 3, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas. She passed away peacefully at her home on October 3, 2026, at the age of 87, with her son, Felix Zamora Jr., lovingly by her side and surrounded by the warmth, comfort, and support of a constellation of family and loved ones.
Dora lived a life defined by love, kindness, and an unwavering sense of optimism. She had a beautiful appreciation for life and found her greatest happiness in its simplest pleasures. Her warmth, gentle spirit, and ability to find joy in everyday moments touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death and is now lovingly reunited in Heaven with those who went before her: her parents, Pedro Hinojosa Jimenez & Virginia Castillo; her grandparents Francisco Castillo & Maria Campos-Castillo; her beloved husband, Fernando G. Zamora; her sons by marriage, Fernando G. Zamora Jr. and Felix O. Zamora; her niece, Laura Ann Garcia; Ruben & Mary Huron; Amaya Flores; and her cherished companion, Leroy.
Dora leaves behind a loving family and a lifetime of cherished memories. She is survived by her beloved sister, Alicia Jimenez-Ibarra; her sons, Anthony Reyes & his wife, Gloria, and Felix Zamora Jr.; her daughters by marriage, Angie Zamora-Hernandez and Delia Zamora; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and an abundant circle of friends, family, and loved ones whose lives were made brighter by her presence.
Dora was loved tremendously, cherished deeply, and will be missed more than words can express. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the countless moments of love she leaves behind.
Though she is no longer with us in person, the love she gave so freely will remain a lasting part of all who were blessed to know her.
May she rest peacefully in the loving embrace of Heaven, reunited with those she loved and forever held in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
