It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of an irreplaceable woman, Dorothy Jordan.  On August 31, 2021, Dorothy passed peacefully in her sleep at our home. Dorothy was the beloved mother of Richard (Belinda) and Michael (Yvonne), proud grandmother of Carmen (Victor), Phillip, Kirstin (Patrick), Genesis and Jacob.  She was preceded by her devoted husband Matthew. Dorothy leaves a legacy of loving gentleness that exuded from her being as a gift to all those who were graced by her company.  She welcomed all with a hospitality that made you feel welcomed and cared for in a special way.  She loved wholeheartedly, laughed boisterously, and gave herself bountifully to ensure those in her presence felt her warmth and compassion. She was passionate about caring for her children and grandchildren, was an artist with home décor and crafts, and thoroughly enjoyed listening to music (conjunto) and dancing for as long as her body would allow.  Dorothy was the life of the party and was never shy to throw a grito that was unrivaled.

Dorothy's life was an example for all of us to live by and she will be missed without end.  A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on September 18, 2021 from 2-4 P.M. Please join us to honor her life.
