Eduarda Hernandez Vara, a devoted wife and beloved mother departed this world on June 20, 2022 at the age of 99 years old. Eduarda was born in Laredo, Tx on October 13, 1922 to Jose and Felecita Hernandez. On 1948, she married Juan C. Vara Sr. and raised seven wonderful children. Eduarda was previous employed at the Baptist Memorial Hospital Housekeeping Department for 10 years. She had also done volunteer work at the Children's Hospital Foster Grand-Parent program where she was recognized as an Outstanding Foster Grand-Parent Volunteer. Eduarda is preceded by her deceased: Husband Juan Sr., Sisters Juanita Cantu, Catalina Paulus, and Brother Willie Hernandez. She is survived by her children: Amanda H. Gonzales, Juan H. Vara Jr., Jose H. Vara Sr. (Raquel-deceased), Rosalinda H. Garcia (Nick), Federico H. Vara (Frances Soto), Francisco H. Vara (Elizabeth), Richard H. Vara and her beloved Sister-in-law Gloria Hernandez whose love and support will be greatly appreciated forever. She will be greatly missed by numerous Nephews and Nieces, Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be at Castillo Funeral Home. Mass services will be at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church followed by interment at San Fernando Cemetery #3.
