Edward was born on April 19, 1956, in San Antonio Texas to the late Gloria (Garza) and Pablo R. Vasquez. His early years provided a foundation which he would build upon to accomplishing much during his lifetime. Growing up one of fourteen children were times he often looked back to with great fondness. He married the love of his life Velma Vasquez and for 22 years shared a most special and sacred relationship. He was always proud of his two gifts from the Lord children, Eddie Vasquez Jr and Jayce Nathanel Vasquez.

Edward proudly served in the United States Marines and upon completing his term would continue to service in other capacities with the United States Air Force Reserves. After officially completing his duty Edward was a faithful Veteran grateful for opportunity to service his country. He worked as a Logistics supervisor and also a tax preparer and bookkeeper. Enjoyed being outdoors fishing bodies of water in hopes of reeling in a nice catch. Appreciated many sports playing golf and a fan of the Dallas Cowboys for football. When it came to basketball he was a true fan of his home team the San Antonio Spurs. Edward is remembered for what he accomplished but more importantly how he achieved. He was the life of the party who loved music and to dance. A person who could be counted on to make you smile because he loved a good time. Edward was the happiest any time family could come together. So many moments during his life exists now in memories that will be kept and cherished forever.
