Obituary

Elena M. Corona gracefully entered this world on 12/25/1953 in Laredo, Tx. She entered into eternal life on 01/28/2023 surrounded by loved ones at the age of 69 in San Antonio, Tx. She is reunited in death with her parents Jose and Lucila Mata, Grandson Benjamin Corona Barrera, Brothers and sisters Ramona Morales, Daniel Mata, Lupe Barrocio, Diana Mata and Andres Mata. She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and loving husband Manuel B. Corona whom she was married to for 50 years. Daughters and Son, Yvette ( Balde) Barrera, Manuel ( Michele) Corona, Diandra, Amanda and Elena Corona. After raising her children she took pride in helping raise her grandchildren Balde, Brandon, Kayla (Alaia), Reynaldo ( Ellie, Leiani, Amberlee), Damian, Morgan, Chris, Carissa, Mireya, Caleb and Catalaya. She enjoyed spending quality time with numerous brothers and sisters. She also loved playing slot machines in town and plotting when she could make the great escape to Kickapoo Casino. Her favorite hobby was making crafts for loved ones grave sites and home decor for family. Win or lose she also loved her Spurs and made sure to wear her gear year round. Elena will be missed dearly by all who knew her, heaven has gained a treasured soul and she will live in our hearts forever.
