Elia G. Castillo was called into the arms of our Lord at 11:22pm on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the blessed age of 89. Elia was born on January 3, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Isidoro Garcia and Amparo Garza. She enjoyed dancing, swimming, listening to music, and going to live concerts. Elia was a huge fan of the Beatles, following their music and the solo careers of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. She was a proud Wife, Mother, Grandmother and immensely enjoyed supporting her family's musical endeavors. Elia often went to see her daughter perform live with her band and she would attend her granddaughter Samantha's performances. Most of all, Elia was a compassionate caregiver to everyone that crossed her path. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Elia is reunited in Heaven with her Parents and her high school sweetheart and husband of 63 years Richard Castillo. Elia leaves her legacy in the hearts and actions of her sons Rick Castillo (Irene) and Randall Castillo; daughter Theresa Valero (Paul); 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Henry Castillo (Mary) along with extended family and numerous friends.

Visitation will take place at Castillo Funeral Home on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 3:30pm until 8:00 pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30pm. Family and friends will meet at 9:30am to depart on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Castillo Funeral Home for a 10:30am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
