Elida Garcia, January 05, 1938 - November 9th, 2023, beloved wife, mother, grandmother,
sister, and aunt, died peacefully at home.
Elida was born in Meadow, Texas and moved to San Antonio, where she met the love of her life,
Roger Garcia. Thus began a loving marriage that lasted 70 years.
Elida was preceded in death by her husband, Roger, her mother, Viviana B. Reyes, and brother,
Armando Reyes. She is survived by her children; Vivian; Roger (Cynthia); Hector (Lucy);
Letecia (Will); Rene (Nora); Henry;18 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. She is also
survived by her sister, Carmen Ramos and many nieces and nephews.
She had a lifelong love for pets, and her dog, Rocky, will miss her dearly.
She loved arts and crafts, but especially sewing. She spent as much time as she could at the
Commander's House Adult & Senior Center and Wesley Health & Wellness Center with her
sewing groups.
Elida greatly enjoyed selling products for companies, such as Park Lane Jewelry, Home
Interiors, Avon, and Stanley Cleaner Home Products.
She was a dedicated member of Saint John Berchman's Catholic Church and deeply committed
to her faith.
She was a constant source of familiarity, caring, and strength. She was always there when her
children and grandchildren needed her. She will be missed by one and all.
Services will be held at Castillo Funeral Home.
