Obituary

Elijah Flores, 20, went to be with the Lord on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on March 10, 2003, in San Antonio, Texas, a son of Elena Alonzo Flores.

Elijah was born blind with numerous other challenges which attempted to limit and define him. Instead, he overcame all his limitations. He lived his life spreading endless amounts of joy, love, and affection to everyone who had the privilege of meeting him. Elijah taught us to love greater, to be kind and considerate to everyone and to look at the world with wide eyes full of wonder and excitement. He enjoyed music and loved learning to play the guitar and singing in the church choir. He played baseball for the San Antonio Miracle League on team Mets. Elijah's happiness was infectious, and he spread cheer everywhere he went. He reflected the face of Jesus in all that he did and wore that warmth, love, and affection on his sleeve. He truly was an angel in our midst.

Elijah is preceded in death by his great-grandad, Jerry Castilleja; grandpa, Rudy Castilleja; uncles, Jesse Alonzo, Gilbert Alonzo, Richard Alonzo and Raul Flores; and loving aunts, Mary Lou Yanas and Pilar Garcia.
