Elisa Leal Flores, born September 14, 1934, in Seguin, Texas; passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, at the age of 91. She was the beloved daughter of Mariano Leal and Hilaria Hernandez, whose values of faith, resilience, and family shaped the woman she became.
On April 5, 1952, Elisa married Jose M. Flores, together they built a strong foundation rooted in devotion, hard work, and faith. She soon became the proud mother of nine children. Elisa's life revolved around caring for her family.
Elisa was preceded in death by her parents, Mariano Leal and Hilaria Hernandez; her beloved husband, Jose M. Flores; her sons, Daniel Flores and George Flores; and her siblings Eva, Mariano, Augustine, Frederico, Francisco, and Ramiro.
She is survived by her seven living children: Joe M. Flores (Rosemary), Enrique L. Flores, Marylou Martinez (William), Jesse Flores (Gracie), Armando Flores, San Juanita Flores, and Tommy Flores (Marisa).
She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren: Phillip Flores (Marisa), Annette Mendiola, Michael Flores (Rhianne), Mark Anthony Flores (Susan), Carlos Torres, Melissa Ann Wentworth, Michael Aaron Torres, Orlando Carlos Martinez, Claudia Rose Trevino, Ricky Daniel Flores (Chelsea), Roxanne Garza, Analisa Martinez, Tommy Flores, Jr., Roshelle Jolie Flores, Jayden Arman Flores, Jacob Ryan Flores; along with 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and happiness.
Throughout her long life, Elisa faced challenges with grace, humility and unwavering love. She was known for her strong work ethic, her remarkable spirit, and the deep respect she earned from everyone who knew her. Elisa was a true prayer warrior, offering constant prayers and spiritual strength to her loved ones.
She built a legacy rooted in love, perseverance, and family unity—one that will continue to shape the generations who follow her.
Elisa found happiness in the simple, meaningful rhythms of daily life. She loved gardening, tending to her plants. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, playing loteria, listening to music while drinking her morning coffee, and watching her novelas and movies. Family gatherings were her happiest moments, where her presence brought laughter and unity; she was, in every sense, the foundation of her family.
Her memory lives in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to share in her life.
She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always honored.
